“I don’t hate voice actors. I just wish they’d stop talking.” -Davey
Davey is my very blunt, raspy-voiced puppet. He has zero patience for nonsense — especially from voice actors… which is awkward, considering I'm his handler. Davey is frequently found lurking in my voiceover booth (when he’s definitely not supposed to be), offering unsolicited commentary and roasting almost everyone he meets with humor and honesty. Davey is proudly legless, multilingual and a HUGE Taylor Swift fan! I know, who would've guessed!?
Beyond his sarcasm, Davey is the proud mascot of Project Be Brave, a global breast cancer early-detection awareness initiative founded by former news reporter–turned–voice actor Tina Kamriani. The campaign launched in April 2025 — right as Tina was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. Within months, more than 40 voice actors rallied together to record PSAs in support of global awareness of early detection. And among this incredible lineup of VO talent? One orange, blunt, raspy-voiced puppet who (again) absolutely did not ask for permission to use my voiceover booth.
Davey’s Project Be Brave PSA took off fast on the interwebs and was subsequently dubbed into Spanish, Portuguese, Egyptian Arabic, Japanese, and Mandarin; catapulting him into international fame. His shockingly good Mandarin (thanks to Angela Liu, who deserves full credit) even helped him earn a 2026 SOVAS™ Award nomination! Davey made history as one of the only puppets to be nominated AND show up for the red carpet in Beverly Hills, California. Pretty impressive for someone with no legs ...and a lot of opinions!
I’m incredibly grateful that Davey could play a meaningful role in sharing such an important message of hope and bravery, as Project Be Brave continues to reach audiences (and puppet fans) around the world!

Even though Davey didn't win a SOVAS™ award (this time around), he was recently recognized with the "Roadie Award" from Project Be Brave! Both he and Cara were honored for using creativity, humor and puppetry to bring PBB’s message about Early Detection for Breast Cancer to women worldwide!

Under the humor that defines him, Davey is as sweet as they come. I’m not only honored to be able to create content with him that’s fun and playful, but I'm thankful it can hold purpose as well! To me, every story we create together is an opportunity to share light and truth. It’s also a steady reminder that God can use even the most unexpected voices. And yes, sometimes those voices are about 90% fabric.
